introducing you to insights and exercises from
Jean-Robert Bayard's book: How to think if you want to change the world
We are organizing a series of free, on-line workshops focusing on one or more of the book's chapters to support you as an activist.
These workshops are an hour or less, and are interactive, with exercises for you to apply the principles and opportunities to share your experience in break-out rooms and large-group discussions.
Upcoming workshops are:
Take the perspective of The Big You while dealing with your opponents - 7pm EST Wednesday, July 14
Our attitude and goals and even our feeling of wellbeing can be shaped by how we perceive ourselves and our "enemies" or opponents, including those who oppose us in our own groups.
This workshop is designed to help you become "The Big You" to put your problems in perspective and help you understand and deal with opponents.
Build beliefs to support you and your work
- 7pm EST Tuesday, July 20
Your beliefs about the world or your situation can support and encourage you, or fill you with despair or anger.
This workshop is designed to show how you can build beliefs that support you, and help you envision the world those beliefs can create.
Honor your Daring Thought - 2pm EST Saturday, August 21
This workshop delves into the core of the book, explaining how to notice and use the pain that you feel when you recognize any suffering or injustice, and find your Daring Thought.
Honoring your Daring Thought can give you a purpose, and relieve your pain.
Become invincible to defeat - 2pm EST Sunday, August 29
Failure is not an event, it's a feeling -- a feeling which can lead to burnout and discouragement. This workshop is designed to help you become invincible to defeat.
