The Certificate of Completion for the Self-Study Guide
indicates that you have learned information that can improve the safety and efficiency of your students' street-crossing;
verifies that you earned 3 hours of ACVREP-approved CE credit for renewal of your certification.
To receive a Certificate of Completion, you need to:
send a registration fee of $16
fill out an evaluation of the Self-Study Guide reading material
pass a quiz

The quiz is designed as a learning tool for you. If you fail it, you'll get an automatic message explaining what you need to review before you take it again.
If you fail it after reviewing the appropriate material, I would like to go over your answers with you and coach you until you can pass the quiz.
I will gladly provide as much help as you need -- we've had people succeed after retaking the quiz 5 times, and then we celebrated their persistence and hard work!
Usually the problem was that the material or question wasn't clear -- it's thanks to people like you that I learn how to improve it.
Five of the 10 questions in the quiz cover material that is found throughout the Self-Study Guide pages -- you need to answer 3 of them correctly.
The other 5 questions cover material that is considered essential for passing -- you will have to answer all 5 correctly.
All the essential material is referenced in the Study Questions, so if you review them, you should be prepared for the essential questions.
Feel free to contact me about anything you don't understand about the Self-Study Guide. The quiz has no trick questions or trivia, it is intended to test your knowledge.
Why bother with all this for a lousy Certificate of Completion?
The information you gain may go well beyond a piece of paper -- it may make a huge difference in how well you prepare your students to deal with crossings.
Some of the information presented here is relatively new and/or contrary to the traditional way we have been teaching O&M. For some of you, it may even cause a paradigm shift, for others, it may give you new tools and ideas.

To register for the quiz if you are not already taking it as part of a course or a workshop, send the $16 registration fee by check, money order, or credit card as explained below.
Within 24 hours of receiving the payment, you should get an email message with instructions to register and take the quiz.

After you have read all the material in the Self-Study Guide, follow the instructions to register whenever you have about a half hour without interruption to take the quiz.
