Flat areas delineated with detectable warning surfaces
These photos were taken along several streets in Eugene, Oregon where several blocks have sidewalks at the same level as the streets, with no curbs.
A two-foot wide strip of detectable warning surface is placed along the entire edge of each of the streets, such that to get from the buildings into the street, you must step onto one of the detectable strips indicating where the edge of the sidewalk meets the street.
